Greenhill is a pebbly beach in Weymouth Bay and can be less crowded than the sandier beaches in the area. The beach is backed by a promenade which actually forms a section of the South West Coast Path. Greenhill is also known for the lovely beach huts along the promenade and the Greenhill Gardens, a park area which lies immediately behind the beach.
Between July and September two swimming rafts are usually to be found, anchored off the beach. People come here in summer to swim, and there is a lifeguard in attendance in the summer season.
